Over the past few years, more and more Torontonians have been choosing to purchase condos rather than low-rise single-family housing, mainly because buyers realize that they can get more for their money if they go down the condo route. As a result, we no longer only see the micro-condos designed for singles and couples. Condos of all shapes and sizes are popping up all over Toronto to accommodate families as well as singles – from the micro to the macro and from the basic to the extreme. Read on for the five most luxurious condos in Toronto.

2. Luxurious Indulgence at 1 Yorkville Street
Not only is 1 Yorkville in the most desirable of locations, but it also offers unbelievable luxury from the architecture to the suites, the finishes, and the amenities. The outside of the building is wrapped in 2,600 identical pieces of steel which the designer described as a “3D wallpaper”, designed to reflect light and shadow to change how the building looks throughout the day and when viewing from different angles. The exterior is probably unique and stands out amongst the many condos in the area. The inside compromises of 570 units over 58 stories, including three levels of amenities – a fitness level, a sea level and a rooftop entertainment level. Units range from 1-3 bedrooms with prices starting at $300,000 up to over $1 million.
3. Luxury in Simplicity at Four Seasons Residential Condos
In contrast to many other luxury condo buildings, the beauty of Four Seasons hotel and residences is in the simplicity of the design. The sleek, slender building was designed with the goal of it blending into the sky; however, it has become a signature part of Toronto’s skyline and can be seen from almost anywhere. The complex is in the popular Yorkville area and consists of two towers: a 55-story hotel-condo tower and a 30-story condo only tower. Units are spacious with contemporary, sophisticated finishes, giving the interior a timeless, luxurious feel. Residents can enjoy the many amenities including a restaurant and bar on-site as well as a spa featuring a swimming pool, treatment rooms, and a fitness suite. Residents have full access to all of the hotel amenities, so they also benefit from 24-hour concierge service, a doorman, and housekeeping. However, it does not come cheap – on completion Four Seasons residences saw prices up to a shocking 50% higher than other comparable condos in the area. At $1,350-$1,500 per square foot, Four Seasons is undoubtedly aimed at the super-luxury buyer. In 2011 the 9000 square foot penthouse suite sold for $28 million, which is the most any condo has ever sold for in Canada.

Then there are the amenities including 24-hour concierge and security, a fitness center, a rooftop lounge and a three story retail outlet on the podium. Not to mention the units themselves, featuring large windows and unbelievable city views as well as stunning, modern finishes. Suites range from 502 square feet to 3054 square feet, with prices around $1,130 per square foot. The three penthouse suites exude prestige and are worth $2.4 million for the smallest, and $3 million for the largest.
